As our client relationships have developed over the years, we have had the privilege to witness our clients' various milestones and achievements, including their inspiring philanthropic endeavours.

In 2022, we have been honoured to participate in a number of fundraisers spearheaded by clients of MICHEL'S BESPOKE. Each event presented a distinct character of community support, achieved through the unique spirit of each impressive founder.

These events demonstrate the strong character of our clients and the roles of leadership they each take in their communities. Inspired by such leadership, MICHEL'S BESPOKE makes every effort to contribute to these causes whenever and however we can.


The 18th annual GRAND CRU CULINARY WINE FESTIVAL, presented by ECN Capital was held from October 27-29, 2022. Since its inception in 2005, GRAND CRU has raised more than $127 million in support of ground-breaking medical research and innovations across emergency medicine, diabetes, cardiac and vascular, brain, surgery, stem cell and vision care at University Health Network (UHN).

Founded by TODD HALPERN in 2005, GRAND CRU CULINARY WINE FESTIVAL is the largest of its kind in the world. The festival brings together the finest wine, gourmet cuisine, brightest minds in medical research, and UHN donors and sponsors. This year, GRAND CRU featured wines from more than 90 vintners from around the world, 19 private gourmet dinners throughout the city prepared by some of the world’s most esteemed chefs, and participation from UHN clinicians and scientists who are advancing ground-breaking medical research and innovations.

MICHEL'S BESPOKE has participated in this event since 2016. We were proud be among such an impressive community of esteemed hosts, guests and sponsors, and to donate $15,000 in bespoke services to be put up for live auction. The GRAND CRU Live Auction raised over $1.3M to support the incredible work being done at UHN.


The fifth annual SUNDAY BEST TORONTO brunch took place on September 18 2022 at Steamwhistle Brewery's impressive Locomotive Hall. The event is held in support of Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario and the thousands of children across Ontario fighting Cancer. New this year, alongside Ellie Mae Studios, the event was also dedicated to the Kid's Help Phone and local youth battling mental health across Ontario and Canada.

SUNDAY BEST TORONTO was founded by a youthful group of siblings — Kate, Meghan and Jack Beswick — who have spent the past 6 years working with local business, families and friends to create events for organisations they are passionate about. The Beswicks have their collective finger on the pulse of the next generation of giving, and are finding creative ways to support important causes within their local community.

MICHEL'S BESPOKE is proud to count the SUNDAY BEST hosts as friends and clients. At the event, JACK BESWICK (far right in the above image) wore a silk and wool raspberry check jacket, pure wool trousers and a pure cotton twill shirt in a pink stripe. Each of these bespoke garments was handmade in Toronto for JACK BESWICK by MICHEL'S BESPOKE.

At the event, MICHEL'S BESPOKE showcased a capsule collection alongside fellow Toronto designers Ellie Mae Studios and Tara Rivato. We enjoyed the inviting atmosphere achieved through music, mimosas, and a three course brunch catered by Chef Mark McEwan and the McEwan Group.


The third annual MUSKOKA MOTOR RALLY (MMR) was held earlier this summer, on July 30, 2022. MMR is a unique and exciting driving event that provides an opportunity to support Emergency Medicine at the UHN FOUNDATION and the SOUTH MUSKOKA HOSPITAL FOUNDATION. The car rally scavenger hunt ends with a charming cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvre and a silent auction. This year, the event raised over $800,000, bringing its 3 year total to $2 MILLION raised for Emergency Medicine in Ontario.

MMR was founded by Jacqueline, Daniel & Andrew Wachsberg — another remarkable trio of siblings leading the way in a new generation of philanthropy. ANDREW WACHSBERG (second from left in the above image) wore MICHO LOUNGE TROUSERS to the event, and DANIEL WACHSBERG (third from left) wore a bespoke jacket from MICHEL'S BESPOKE.

MICHEL’S BESPOKE has been a proud sponsor of MMR since its inaugural summer event in 2020. This year, MICHEL'S BESPOKE was pleased to continue that relationship with a donation of two $5,000.00 gift cards — one for the rally runner-up, and another for the MMR silent auction. Winners of these prizes were invited to join us at our UPTOWN ATELIER or DOWNTOWN SHOWROOM to create bespoke clothing to their individual specification including design, fabric and fit — the ultimate bespoke experience.


On June 6, 2022, UHN Foundation hosted the 18th Annual GOLF FOR HEART CLASSIC. This event differentiates itself from other tournaments because it is known for providing a very high end experience for its participants. From the exquisite wine tasting to the gourmet on course food stations catered by the GTA’s top restaurants; it is a tournament that is a natural fit for MICHEL'S BESPOKE and our clients.

After many years of memorable and successful tournaments at Eagles Nest Golf Club, this year's event was held at the luxurious, award-winning Magna Golf Club. Located in Aurora, Magna Golf Club symbolises a fusion of nature and design and has established itself as one of the premier clubs in the country by offering the highest standards in quality and service.

Proceeds from this annual event benefit the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (PMCC) at Toronto General Hospital. The PMCC is a leading referral centre for cardiac patients worldwide, providing the highest quality of treatment and care for the most complex cardiac conditions.

MICHEL'S BESPOKE donated $22,000 in gift cards: $3,000 for each golfer in the winning foursome, and $2,500 for each runner-up. Gift cards were redeemed for bespoke services entirely of the winners' choosing. It was our pleasure to host the recipients and explore their sartorial vision through their design of shirts, jackets and suits alike.
